Itty Bitty Buddy

Itty Bitty Buddy, our miniature horse, urgently needs surgery for Squamous cell carcinoma of his penis. He is a tough little guy, and last year overcame both thrush and laminitis - and the worst "haircut" ever- with flying colors! He's a senior, but you'd never know it!  He's also a stallion, but has no bad behaviors. He's the friendliest little guy. The cancer hasn't affected his urethra and his labs were perfect, and he has a great appetite and lots of energy, so his vet feels that he is a good candidate for surgery. 

His recent vet exam and lab work was $341.00 and the surgery estimate to remove the tumor is $1,800.00. We will need funds to pay someone to trailer him to  Green Glen Hospital for surgery, then home, and for care and meds afterwards. 

Coincidentally, his friend and herd mate, Pickles, had the same exact cancer years ago, but his was far more advanced. He has to have his entire penis and sheath amputated and a urethrastomy performed.  On the way home from his surgery, we learned that his 6 month prognosis was poor. It has been 11 YEARS and Pickles is thriving!
