This year more than ever kids need a safe space to just be kids!! This is a truly special place where even as "not a kid person", I always feel welcome and energized. As our educator parents taught us, school cannot provide everything a child needs. A community like the Waltham BGC supports the whole child emotionally, physically and mentally, so they can be successful. On a daily basis, the club provides education support for 500 students first grade through senior year, hot meals, STEM education, social emotional learning, athletics, arts programs, career development, college prep and parental support. The waitlist continues to grow as more children need support after school when their parents are working. I've never met a more dedicated team, or a place that made me feel so immediately connected. The community that the staff and volunteers are able to create is truly unique. This year, JJ and I will be volunteering for college prep and homework help. Keeping all of these programs going means that every $1 counts. Thanks in advance for your support.
