In the past, Sports Mom University has put on both camps and educational services for sports families, but as separate entities. The Sports Family Weekend aims to combine the two to make it an interactive and informative experience for the entire family.

Having been a mother of an athlete that has gone through the recruiting process, founder Jamesetta Cleveland has a level of understanding of how the business works within the industry. Often there is tension between high school & college coaches, parents, and support staff, such as trainers, counselors, tutors, etc. This lack of communication and understanding can affect the recruiting process of these student-athletes, especially super seniors going through the transfer portal.

In order to support this partnership between all three parties, The Sports Family Weekend was created: a college coach endorsed training camp for under the radar high school football families, with a focus on academic and athletic development for the whole family. We recognize there are high-school student athletes that are not getting the proper looks or adequate support for recruiting. This lack of technical training and education of the business has inspired this event and what Sports Mom University aims to do, as a whole.
