When the flood took the land, we lost more than crops — we nearly lost a way of life. Together, we’re bringing it back.

After Hurricane Helene swept through Western North Carolina, the damage was staggering: homes, fields, tools, and hives — gone. But what hit hardest wasn’t just the loss of livelihood. It was the loss of tradition — the kind of slow-grown, hands-in-the-dirt, pass-it-down living that defines this region.

That’s why United Carolinas Cavalry, an organization that knows a thing or two about preserving legacy, nurturing community, and feeding people in every sense of the word.

Together, we’re launching “Rebuild the Roots,” a grassroots relief campaign to help the small farmers, beekeepers, and off-grid families who keep our land — and our tables — full. At United Carolinas Cavalry, we believe in showing up for those who are often forgotten.

🐝🚜🔥 What We’re Doing, Together:

Living Assistance - Helping those at their most vulnerable get some semblance of their normal life back
Feeding hope — in every sense — through community events and gatherings that raise awareness and morale
Providing Much needed supplies - Although the storm has passed, there is sll much need in those hills. Help us meet those needs
Building and restoring beehives lost in the floods to revive pollination and honey production
Distributing tools, seeds, and soil repair supplies to local farms struggling to recover
Hosting “Build-a-Hive” community days Showing people how to build and nurture our winged friends

“It’s not just the food — it’s the fire, the family, and the faith in where we’re from.”
