The 57th Legislature approaches, and the 15th Annual Legislative West Side Day in Santa Fe is on the horizon. For 15 years, the West Central Community Development Group & SWAN Coalition have united with State Legislators, Albuquerque Public Schools, and Neighborhood Associations to provide a unique, hands-on "Civics Lesson" at the State Legislature for West Side students.

This initiative is more than an excursion; it's a gateway for students to understand the legislative process, engage with elected officials, and advocate for crucial issues impacting West Side schools, businesses, and neighborhoods.

Our mission is clear: take 600 students to the state legislature. The West Side Day committee tirelessly fundraises to facilitate transportation, breakfast, and lunch for these eager students and their chaperones. This is where you come in........
