Community Planting Days started Fall of 2023 at our Wuda Ogwa Land Restoration Project Site. Each Fall (and sometimes Spring) we will plant up to plant up to 30,000 native trees and seedlings. We're excited to have you join us on Friday, April 17, 2026 and/or Saturday, April 18, 2026.

What you'll need: A sack-lunch, refillable water bottle, work gloves/boots, and a shovel (narrow post shovels work best - and - one per person) Come ready to work, some soil is not as easy.

Exact planting locations are determined only a few days before - please follow the signage once you arrive at the Bear River Massacre Site on Maps.

This year we have long-sleeved Wuda Ogwa shirts available ($25/each + small fee) Pre-order your shirt(s) today for pick up at the planting event. Max of 4 shirts per person. Purchaser is responsible for picking-up and keeping track of their shirt(s). Select sizes carefully. Size quantities are while supplies last. Shirts are a flexible material and fit true-to-size. Sorry, no youth sizes available at this time. *All funds generated from t-shirts go directly back into the project.
