Helping others during the holiday season……

Bearing Hope is preparing to bring Holiday Cheer to those diagnosed with Childhood Cancer and their families at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.  All gifts in kind and donations will directly support the oncology unit at the hospital.  Cancer doesn’t stop for a holiday, but our support can ease the burden and provide comfort during the unimaginable time.

Friends of BH2U, can you help ?  

Gather together, get cozy, and create cards for kids to include holiday cards the Hope Bags in December. Options include something for everyone, young or young at heart.  You may  purchase holiday cards, make homemade cards, or other creative way to  deliver cheer!

Here’s the scoop:

The theme for the BH2U December bags is PENGUINS.

Families and friends of BH2U can drop off completed cards, pictures etc. by SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1

Cards MUST be  generic holiday wishes, PLEASE NO Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah, Kwanza etc as INCLUSION is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE.  Examples of cards could say:

happy holiday              holiday hugs.         keep calm and sparkle on.        festive greetings.                 celebrate the season  Tis the season        good tidings.                             warm wishes                                         Holly Jolly wishes        Peace and love      Joy to the World                       Season’s greetings

Cards may be signed FIRST NAMES ONLY OR “Friends of Bearing Hope 2U”

Cards CANNOT include candy or  food of any kind.

PLEASE create 20 cards total so each patient receives the same number of wishes.
