Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a life-threatening emergency that occurs when the heart suddenly stops beating. It strikes people of all ages who may seem to be healthy, even children and teens. This year, more than ever, it is so important for us to raise awareness about the need for public placement of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). These two lifesaving therapies can be done by anyone, at any time, and can triple the chances of survival.

Installing automated external defibrillators (AED’s) in schools, athletic venues and public gathering places.
Underwriting and hosting CPR training classes.
Lobbying for comprehensive AED legislation.

Supporting research on genetic cardiac disorders that increase the risk of sudden cardiac death.
