The Wegene Youth Club (WYC)  presents our annual High School Formal (ages 15-19) to raise funds for Wegene Ethiopian Foundation and to connect with our peers. We will connect through food, music, a selfie booth, games, and other activities while giving back to our community.

Wegene Youth Club (WYC), a subset of Wegene Ethiopian Foundation (WEF), a 501 (c) 3 non-profit and non-governmental organization, was founded in 2001 in the Washington, D.C., metro area and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with a mission to improve the lives of disadvantaged families in Ethiopia by overcoming three critical barriers in the poverty cycle: lack of education, poor housing, and family instability. We rely on community financial support to help these families. WYC's target for 2022/23 is to raise $30,000, and we hope the high school formal will help us reach our goal. Your participation will enable us to finance our Knowledge Center in Ethiopia, school fees for Wegene children, housing, food, and other household expenses.
