He never wavered in his pursuit despite all that he went through (particularly in the last two years), showing us all what it truly means to be brave in the face of adversity.

In May 2021, Andrew (Drew) received the devastating news that he had metastatic colon cancer. The world seemed to spin out of control as he embarked on a whirlwind of treatments, surgeries, and chemotherapy. Through it all, Drew's fighting spirit shone brightly. He returned to his full-time job, enduring long commutes and pushing through exhaustion and treatment side effects with unwavering optimism.

He was grateful for every moment he got to spend with his family, for every day he beat the odds. He walked his dog, he traveled to spend time with his children, and even made smores with the kids next door around the campfire in his backyard.

Drew is not just a fighter against cancer; he's also a proud US Army veteran. Alongside his wife, Tina, they raised two wonderful children. Taylor, engaged to be married, resides in Pennsylvania, and Connor is pursuing his education at Frostburg State University.

Over two years ago, when Drew was first diagnosed, our community rallied to raise funds to support his treatment and help with their living expenses while he couldn't work. The support poured in, making a profound impact on this family. It touched their finances and their hearts, letting them know that their community had their back.
