The Rolling Sloans - Jolyn & Jim - are both volunteer board members for Assist ME. Jolyn keeps on rollin' with Jim keeping up the pace! While we have means to purchase mobility equipment, sadly, many do not which leaves them at home or in hospitals without medically necessary mobility equipment like wheelchairs or power chairs. We want to help bridge this gap!

Jolyn's Story: 

In 2019 my somewhat invisible illnesses decided to become very visible, and I medically retired after a long and varied career. I've become more dependent on mobility devices in the past year, which ironically is when Assist ME found me!  I identify with our patient's acute and chronic needs, the importance of independence and freedom of mobility, and I am determined to help bridge gaps for others in our community through my role at Assist ME.
