Each month the Black Arts District and The Artist Exchange (@the_artist_exchange_media) invite Black businesses and Black creatives to the Black Artist Fair Monthly Series, which includes a marketplace, keynote speakers, a workshop, and an opportunity to connect with local resources.

Our JULY 2025 Black Artist Fair is all about supporting youth artists & connecting them with youth-centered arts programs throughout Baltimore City, including :

Youth attendees will also enjoy a FREE SKATE PARTY* and have the opportunity to build their artistry through two unique workshops:

Workshop 1:
Mask, Management, and Mentorship: Growing and Glowing as Your Authentic Self

This workshop, led by Jamaal Black Root Collier, guides youth ages 13-17 on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Participants will explore how to embrace their authentic selves by identifying and managing the "masks" they wear in different settings. Through reflective exercises and discussions, they'll learn to build confidence, manage stress, set healthy boundaries, and understand the power of mentorship, all while aligning their personal truth with their goals for growth and fulfillment.

Workshop 2:
I'm Not a "Business-Man," I'm a Business... Man

Facilitated by Tiffany Ginyard, this dynamic workshop for young adults ages 17-23 is designed to transform aspiring entrepreneurs into confident business owners. Participants will gain essential knowledge and tools to take their ideas from concept to execution, focusing on cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset, developing unique business plans, building a strong personal brand, and crafting a compelling origin story to connect with customers and stakeholders.
