Cheese's severe overbite has led to significant problems in her mouth. Her lower canines have caused holes in the roof of her mouth, and numerous teeth are rotated sideways due to the lack of space in her jaw. Dr. Kellner, our trusted veterinarian, anticipates that Cheese will need to undergo the extraction of at least 12 teeth. Additionally, there is suspicion of unerupted teeth, requiring potential extraction, as indicated by areas of gum swelling where adult teeth should be present.
The most curative option for Cheese is the extraction of these problematic teeth, which will not only alleviate her current discomfort but also prevent the need for additional dental surgery soon. While her mouth may never be 'normal,' the prognosis for her quality of life post-extraction is very promising. Cheese will require a strict pureed diet for two weeks, along with a week of pain medication and antibiotics, but she is expected to recover well after that period.
The estimate for Cheese's dental care will be a significant expense ranging from $3600 to $5500. We understand that this is a substantial amount, but we believe that with the support of compassionate individuals like yourself, we can provide Cheese with the care she desperately needs.
Your generosity can make a world of difference in Cheese's life. By contributing to her dental treatment, you are not only ensuring her physical well-being but also enhancing her overall quality of life. Every donation, no matter the size, will bring us one step closer to covering the cost of Cheese's dental care.
