Even though I don’t live on the Oregon coast, I’ve always felt a deep connection to the Pacific Northwest—and to the wildlife that calls it home. I’ll never forget the awe I felt when I saw my first wild sea otter during a visit to Washington. That moment sparked something in me: a lasting love for these incredible animals and a desire to protect them. That’s why I’m proud to be part of the We Otter Bring Them Back campaign in support of the Elakha Alliance, an organization working tirelessly to restore sea otters to the Oregon coast. Sea otters once thrived there but disappeared over a century ago. Their return would not only bring back a beloved species but also help restore balance to the coastal ecosystem. The Elakha Alliance isn’t just leading a restoration effort—they’re building a movement. Through education, outreach, and science-based action, they’re making real progress, and I want to do whatever I can to help. My goal is to raise $250 by June 8th, and every donation—big or small—makes a difference. Together, we can help bring the otters home. Will you join me?
