Okay, this is a very fun event, folks! Please consider putting together your own team and join us for an afternoon re-discovering downtown Brattleboro! I've had the honor of serving on the Brattleboro Area Hospice Board for six years. In that time, I've seen the impact that this small, yet mighty nonprofit has in our community. I overheard a woman in the locker room at the Colonial pool talking about what a godsend her support group was - she was referring to a BAH support group for caregivers of partners with dementia. BAH provides non-medical assistance to the terminally and seriously ill and their loved ones, bereavement services, and also serves as a community resource on the issues of death, dying and grieving. BAH is an independent, community-based, non-profit volunteer hospice organization that provides grassroots, volunteer-staffed programs to supplement and provide alternatives to the professional services utilized by dying and grieving community members. All of our services are free of charge to anyone living in Southeastern Vermont or bordering New Hampshire towns.
