Whimsy Venue 💖 is an iconic 2-acre performance area & event venue at Boardman Arts Park!

The transformation started in 2025 with installation of:
- Wrought iron fencing around the entire Park to replace old chain link
- An inviting Mosaic Entrance off of William St.
- New pathways
- Updated landscaping & added trees
- New large stage platform (58' x 38')

Still to come in 2025/2026:
- New signage at the North & South side of the Park displaying upcoming events & other great information about what's happening in the space
- The stage canopy to complete the Whimsy Stage that will be made of colorful steel and iridescent resin (Spring 2026)

What we are still fundraising for:
- The Kaleidoscope Glass House! A year-round event house adding indoor whimsical event space to complete the vision.

Meet the Kaleidoscope Artists!

Lawrence and Audrey Goldsmith have worked together producing fine art and fine craft work since 1976. Audrey majored in fine art at UCLA and UC Santa Cruz. Lawrence studied art and architecture at the University Of Illinois in Chicago and majored in fine art at Blake College where he received his BA. They now have a home studio in the Columbus, Ohio area. They have made art glass and kaleidoscopes since the 1980's when they were selected as gifts for each of the United States' governors when Ohio hosted the National Governors' Conference. Their current glass work incorporates finely detailed hand cut stained glass and kiln fused glass. One can appreciate the beauty of the glass chosen for their work, the non-lead solder and the finest optical quality mirrors used in their kaleidoscopes. Their work is unique and is copyrighted. It is handcrafted and no two pieces are exactly alike.
