This program, Deconstructing Whiteness: Does White Privilege Exist? takes place Tuesday, June 25th at 7 P.M. Central Time, and will be hosted by A'Jamal Byndon, Chair of the MORE Board of Directors. The guests will be Cynthia Ramirez, Sister Cynthia Hruby, and Rilley Wilson, J.D. Each person will share their observations and worldview on the question of white privilege.

There are white supremacist folks who deny the history and magnification of whiteness within institutions in the United States. We have often participated in discussions where African Americans routinely share their experiences living in a racist society. For this event, MORE invited three white experts who have worked to help dismantle racism in various ways. Although we all don't have to agree, it's important to allow a variety of voices at our table to share their lived experiences regarding how some racial groups have advantages over other disfranchised groups. In states such as Florida, Texas, Arizona, and others, there is a fear of learning about and discussing such topics. At this exciting episode of MORE's "Throwing Down some Heavy Light" we invite our guests and the public to discuss whether or not we have a "color-blind" society.
