On March 21, 2025, John R. Wooden Middle School students will participate in a unique service-learning opportunity with Pack Away Hunger.
The students and staff are so excited for this opportunity, but need your help. This fundraising campaign will help cover the cost of the meals they will create as well as the hunger education curriculum. Your donation of $25 or more will help create meals for local families and inspire the next generation of hunger advocates.
The day will kick off with an interactive hunger education session in which students learn about food insecurity in their hometown, what causes it and how to help. Then the hands-on fun begins! Students will work together in assembly lines to create meals for local food pantries. In total, they will pack 40,000 highly nutritious meals made of rice, veggies, soy and a powerful vitamin/mineral powder. Think Rice-A-Roni, but healthier!
Please consider supporting this impactful service opportunity.
