“I want to go play with friends and sing with teacher Susan!” That’s what Charlie screams while running though the house holding her pants and favorite toy that day. She absolutely loves going to WFP and I love that I get the be there with her.
The preschool has been a gift: it’s been a way for her to play and engage with kids her age in a safe environment. As a mom I am learning to trust her with other adults while also learning how to engage with her in a way that meets her where she is developmentally. It’s really more than a school and very much a community. The most valuable part? Parent education and watching how others engage with the children as well. Co-op has probably been the best decision I made as a mom so far (other than introducing chicken nuggets). I love the non-judgmental environment where we can bring up issues and take advice and grow together.
Alas, the school runs on the support of its community so I need to tap into mine. If you can donate you will be adding to the enrichment of the community we are building.
