The documentary, partially shot at the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library, explores to what degree Edith Wilson became a secret surrogate president after Woodrow Wilson’s stroke in 1919. It is part of the Smithsonian Channel’s series “American’s Hidden Stories” where modern historians, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and newly discovered evidence, rewrite the narratives of our nation's most iconic stories.
