Hey everyone. My name is Mikey Brandt, and I’m taking on the Rome Marathon next Sunday, March 16th, to support a cause close to my heart—DIG Furniture Bank.

DIG Furniture Bank, located just a town over from Bucknell University, restores dignity and promotes stability by providing gently used furniture and household items to local families in need—all at no cost to them. Having a furnished home makes a huge difference in a family's life, turning an empty space into a place of comfort, stability, and hope.

I’ve been volunteering at DIG every other week since my freshman year, and I’ve seen firsthand the impact this organization has on families in our community. From delivering beds to kids who would otherwise be sleeping on the floor to providing dining tables where families can share meals, DIG makes a real, tangible difference.

As I train (for a week) to run 26.2 miles in Rome, I’m asking for your support. Every dollar donated will go directly to DIG, helping them continue their mission and serve more families in need.
