Five young children lost their daddy, thirty-five year old Robert Walters, in a horrific, freak accident on January 2, 2025, when a semi-truck he was working on rolled over him. His wife of almost ten years, Samantha, is struggling financially to meet even the most basic needs for the children, ages 4-13.

Robert suffered a permanent injury to his dominant arm several years ago, leaving him no longer employable as the diesel mechanic he had been for most of his life. So, he became self-employed, desperately trying to make ends meet each month. This left him unable to afford life insurance. When he passed away two weeks ago, the family was already struggling financially, and had been for several years. Robert's unexpected death is really exacerbating this financial hardship for his family as they wait for his social security death benefits to kick-in. Of course, there is a family maximum, which will in no way begin to meet the monthly needs for a family of six. Samantha is a stay-at-home mom who homeschools all of the children. For her to go to work now, would really just cause more trauma for the kids, who are very well adjusted to their mom being at home with them.
