We invite the city of LA to celebrate with us in community as we host Roots & Culture: A Day of Wellness on June 8th 8am-5pm at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area. Good vibes. WalkGood creates a safe and welcoming environment for everyone! Wellness is for everyone, so come as you are!

2. CHECK-IN PROCESS

There will be two check-in tables at the entrance of A Day of Wellness. Please have your QR code ready to scan and confirm your RSVP to this experience. The WalkGood team will then confirm you have signed a one-time waiver. Once we verify both your RSVP and waiver completion, you will be given a wristband to wear for the remainder of the experience. If you are bringing children (18 and younger), you must sign a waiver on their behalf. If you have signed a waiver for any previous WalkGood experience this year, then you do not need to sign another waiver, but everyone must RSVP.

3. LOCATION

A Day of Wellness will be located in the Northwest area of Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area, off of the La Cienega Entrance. Use the following coordinates and paste them into Maps to find us: 34.01523703581439, -118.37332961646878

THE SHUTTLE SERVICE WILL DROP YOU OFF IN THE CORRECT LOCATION. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND PARKING AT KENNETH HAHN PARK.

4. PARKING & TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS

You have a few options

We strongly recommend #1. Park at the Metro Station Parking Structure at La Cienega and Jefferson (fee $3). WalkGood is providing shuttle service from the Metro at La Cienega and Jefferson from 8am-6pm. The shuttles will take you back and forth between this Metro and A Day of Wellness. There will be volunteers helping you find the two shuttle pickup points at the Metro, one on Jefferson and the other on La Cienega.

Option #2. Overflow parking will be available at Culver City Metro, Palms Metro, Expo/La Brea Metro, Farmdale Metro. Take the Metro (free this weekend) La Cienega/Jefferson. Then, take the free shuttle service to A Day of Wellness. This Metro ride is approximately a 2 minute ride.

Option #3. Rideshare/Uber Service. If you choose this option, YOU MUST get dropped off at the Metro lot at La Cienega and Jefferson so that you can take the free shuttle service up to Kenneth Hahn. YOU CANNOT BE DROPPED OFF AT KENNETH HAHN PARK, or you will get stuck in lines.

DO NOT PARK at the Stoneview Nature Center.

You may, but we do not recommend parking at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area. If you do choose to park there, head to the La Cienega Entrance (fee $7). Clearly marked volunteers will be going car to car while in line to help you pre-pay for your parking. They will have you scan a QR code to pre-pay exactly $7. Please have your card ready, as WalkGood will not accept cash. When you submit proof of payment, you will be given a pass by the volunteer team to enter the Kenneth Hahn parking lot.

5. RESTROOM LOCATION

Restrooms are located closer to the Japanese Garden at Kenneth Hahn. There will be way finders to help point you in the right direction.

6. WHEN YOU RSVP FOR A TICKET, PLEASE DONATE

ASIDE FROM THE VENDOR MARKET AND FOOD TRUCKS TO SUPPORT, THIS IS AN ENTIRELY DONATION-BASED COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE. WalkGood LA is a grassroots 501(c)3 non-profit organization and we depend entirely on your support to run and create these safe spaces. When you spend time in the community, make sure you pour back into it. In the spirit of #5YearsForward, we are fundraising to provide even more to the community and beyond.
