Having met in engineering school, our founders, Justin Ervin and Kevin Wong shared the desire to do more with their lives than what was traditionally expected; they felt the calling to build a deeper awareness of themselves that lead them to connecting with others on an authentic, more meaningful level.

Kevin and Justin bonded on the disconnects they felt were expected of them in educational, career, and societal norms. They recognized their abilities in supporting each other could greatly benefit other individuals. Through the awareness and understanding of one's thoughts and emotions, we can develop a deeper connection with self and community.

Our founders envisioned that through establishing a nonprofit organization, positive impact could be directed towards giving to those who need it most, namely, individuals who either can’t afford mental, emotional, and physical well-being practices or feel they do not have access to these services. Thus Habitual Roots was birthed.

Habitual Roots is a 501c(3) here to empower people to transform their lives through enhanced emotional management skills, healthier daily habits, and a deeper sense of connection with community and self.
