In Loving Memory of Amber Planeta

Amber was deeply passionate about lifting women up and creating opportunities for them to advance in their careers. As a proud supporter of the Nevada Women’s Fund, and the daughter of two retired teachers, she believed wholeheartedly in the power of community and the importance of women supporting women.

Her legacy of love, connection, grit, and adventure will live on in all who knew her. Few realized the challenges she faced, as she met them with quiet strength and determination. Even while fiercely battling cancer, Amber went back to school to study nutrition and made the Dean’s List, an inspiring testament to her perseverance and spirit.

To honor her passions and continue her impact, we have created the Amber Planeta Scholarship. Our goal is to fund one full scholarship each year through the Nevada Women’s Fund, empowering women in Northern Nevada to pursue their dreams and carry forward Amber’s legacy of strength, kindness, and support.
