Join legendary cryptographer and author Bruce Schneier and application security pioneer Chris Wysopal for an evening of cocktails (and mocktails). Hosted by Bruce and his partner, celebrated mixologist Tammy Coxen, Raising the Bar will support the Secure Resilient Future Foundation (SRFF), a newly-formed 501 c4 non-profit that promotes cyber security and resilience via transformative cybersecurity policies. Together with SRFF President Paul Roberts, Bruce and Chris will discuss the current challenges facing our society and economy when it comes to cybersecurity and how the infosec community can come together to help shape a more secure and resilient digital future for all.

At Raising the Bar, you'll raise a glass with Greater Boston's information security leaders. We'll enjoy cocktails designed by Bruce and Tammy and dig in to some of the endemic problems afflicting the software industry when it comes to cybersecurity and possible policy fixes - such as requiring greater accountability from software publishers for security failings, winning consumers transparency from vendors around issues like software support, maintenance and security patches, not to mention much needed reforms to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to enable independent security research as well as maintenance and repair of smart connected devices.
