2024 Season Needed Support
UPDATE: Thanks to your generosity, we surpassed our tall goal of $25,000 to be able to slow our projects and recalibrate our season! In addition to the many of you who gave, we also received a $10,000 matching grant from a local family foundation, and additional support from the following funds:
- The Bonny Kwolek Fund for Inclusive Kindness and Literacy, a donor advised fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation.
- The Mildred Wood Benedict Memorial Fund, a donor advised fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation.
- The Neighbor to Neighbor Fund, a donor advised fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation.
- The Zacchaeus Fund, a donor advised fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation.
Though not reflected in the donation bar, this brings our total for this fundraising, as of June 25, 2024, to $46,651. THANK YOU!
We at Allegheny GoatScape love what we do. We are proud of the unique work we accomplish, utilizing beloved goat herds to subdue invasive species throughout Allegheny County with the support of incredible volunteers and often in collaboration with other great organizations to improve the biodiversity of our shared landscape.
Unfortunately, a series of unforeseen circumstances has left our (human) staff sidelined and unable to perform their very physical jobs in the field.
While the humans heal, our dear animals still need care, and to eat! We are recalibrating our schedule and pulling some projects, but in the meantime this is a big hit to our budget.
In order to provide the best care possible for our goats and donkeys, Allegheny GoatScape needs your help...
We are seeking $25,000 to put a necessary pause on our 2024 projects where they are for now. An infusion of financial support will give us time to continue to care for our animals in strategic project locations for a few weeks while we heal and plan.
Can you donate $50? $100? $1,000? Every dollar counts. Your contribution is tax-deductible. We need your support now more than ever. Please consider donating today. THANK YOU!
