5K Your Way: Moving Together for Mental Health & Well-Being

In honor of Suicide Awareness Month

Join One New Heartbeat (ONHB) for our 5K Your Way fundraiser - a community-driven movement dedicated to promoting wellness, connection, and hope. This isn’t your typical 5K. Whether you walk, run, roll, knit, journal, perform spoken word, or create art, you get to choose your own pace, your own path, and your own way to complete 5 kilometers (3 miles).

The best part? You don’t have to do it all at once. Complete your 5K in one day or spread it out across Suicide Awareness Month and beyond as every moment matters.

Every step, word, stitch, and shared story helps ONHB provide free, culturally rooted mental health services, substance use recovery support, and life-saving resources for individuals and families including those living with life-threatening illnesses.

Mental Health recovery services that create safe spaces for healing and connection

Alternatives to Suicide groups that provide hope and community when it’s needed most
Parenting and caregiver support programs that strengthen families and reduce stress
Crisis planning for individuals facing critical end of life or health challenges
Ongoing peer-led support that helps participants sustain recovery and build resilience

How It Works

Distance Goal: 5 kilometers = 3 miles
Your Way: Walk, run, roll, journal, dance, knit, paint, write poetry - any activity counts.
Flexibility: Complete your 5K all at once or spread it out over days or weeks.

Share Your Journey: Send us pictures or videos of your progress so we can feature your story and inspire others.
