At Sea Turtle Care and Conservation Specialists (STCCS), we are dedicated to providing the best possible care for injured and sick sea turtles that need rehabilitation before they can return to the wild. Central to this mission is our Life Support System—a vital infrastructure that keeps our sea turtle tanks clean, stable, and full of fresh saltwater. This system helps to regulate water quality and ensure an environment that mimics the turtles’ natural environment, giving them the best chance for recovery.

However, maintaining and operating this system comes with significant costs. From saltwater deliveries that ensure a constant supply of ocean-quality water, to the energy needed to run the filtration systems, pumps, and temperature controls, every piece plays a critical role in helping sea turtles heal. Ongoing maintenance and emergency repairs are also part of the necessary expenses.
