Three years old and full of life, Maxxii has already lived through more pain than most dogs ever should. Rescued from a rural Georgia abuse case, she arrived a 30-pound skeleton, her back legs marked with deep scars — haunting reminders of a life no animal deserves. Yet somehow, despite it all, she chose love. She chose joy.

Today, Maxxii lives every moment to the fullest — chasing sticks, diving into lakes, playing endless games of lacrosse with her 13-year-old girl, and spreading sunshine to everyone who meets her. But now, her big heart is trapped inside a body that’s failing her. A complete ACL tear has left her unable to run, play, or do the things that make her spirit shine.
