At North Mississippi Storm Chasers, our top priority is to deliver up to date, accurate weather information without embellishment so that the public can make the best decisions to keep themselves and their families safe. This will be accomplished using our partnerships with media affiliates, social media, and live streams to provide life-saving information when it becomes available. Our SkyCam network helps with the radar gap of seeing tornadoes in real-time instead of the delayed radar data. If a radar site goes down, that leaves almost the entire state with poor radar coverage. Now imagine this was a high-impact severe weather day. Cameras like ours would become the best, or only, way to see if storms have become tornadic. I know money is tight for everybody, but this shows that these cameras aren't just some novelty project we're doing to feel good about ourselves. These can indeed be the difference in life or death.
