· When Lara discovered the Y, she found more than a place to exercise. With two young children, she never thought she’d be able to carve out time for herself. Now, while her children play in a caring environment at the KidZone, Lara participates in wellness classes and finally can focus on her own health. “This place has changed our family for the better,” she told us.

· Destiny turned to the Y after having her fourth child. She needed childcare, but what she found was a caring, supportive environment that quickly became a vital part of her recovery from postpartum depression. The Y’s programs gave her space to breathe and begin to heal.

· For Jonathan, the Y represents inclusion in action. He’s seen firsthand how programs like adaptive gardening and food prep open doors for everyone. “It’s great to see differently abled folks using the facility,” he said. It reminds him—and all of us—what true community looks like.
