YMCA of Greater Whittier Summer Fun

As we approach another vibrant summer, our YMCA is buzzing with anticipation for the upcoming summer day camps—a season of adventure, fun, and friendship. However, while we are prepared with t-shirts, snacks, and a plethora of activities, there is one area where we seek your generous support— board games and sports equipment for our young day campers.

For many children, summer is a beacon of joy, a time to bask in the sunshine, explore, and create lasting memories with friends. Yet, for others, it’s a period of uncertainty, with parents worrying about providing care during the long summer months. Here’s how your donation can help: A donation of $5 or $10 can go a long way in ensuring that every child has the opportunity to participate in sports and games and learn teamwork, and build confidence—without any barriers. Your support will help us purchase various sports balls and games, ensuring that each child can have a ball in hand, a smile on their face, and the chance to engage in healthy, screen-free outdoor activities.
