Once again Conexion Latina Newport, and a team of our supporters, will be walking, running (or crawling) accross the Newport Bridge, which was aboslutly spectacular the last time we did it. For having a team participate and volunteer for the race, we will get a % of funds that the bridge run raises, last time around $5000 and hope to raise a matching amount from personal friends, donors, sponsors and anyone who supports our orga nization.

Funds raised will be used to support our community belongign and leadership work. This work hs most recently produced the first ever Festival Latino in Newport, our Mujeres Poderosa leadership program, and our upcoming community advisory board. This work is central to what we do, and aimed a building confidence and leadership so that Newport will some day have a community as strong and prevelant as Providence, Boston and New York!
