Summer Swim Programs

Can you make a gift to ensure kids have access to free swim lessons where they learn life-saving skills in the water? 

Our Los Pececitos program at YWCA East Community Center, located near 21st and Memorial, provides bilingual swimming lessons for Spanish-speaking families and children. Our free swim program at the Lacy Park Pool in North Tulsa and Reed Park Pool in South Tulsa serves as a method to lower barriers for children to receive water safety skills and grow their confidence in water.

This program is designed for kids ages 4-13 who currently reside in the specific zip codes of the neighborhoods the lessons are held. Sixty-four percent of black children and 45% of Hispanic children have little to no water skills as a result from the generational impact of system segregation of pools.
