Play is essential to a child's well being!
As we wrap up 2023, the YWCA Quad Cities is putting the final touches on fundraising for the new 55,000 square foot facility in downtown Rock Island! From childcare to educational opportunities, from fitness and wellbeing to career planning, our new facility in downtown Rock Island will help us expand opportunities and resources for the entire Quad Cities community.
The last piece of our facility is one of the most important features that would be a childcare deal breaker: the playground! Playgrounds are more than just a place for kids to have fun; they are essential spaces for fostering physical and social development. They promote exercise, stimulate creativity, and provide a safe environment for kids to build lasting friendships. Play is essential to a child's well being!
The YWCA Quad Cities’ playground project aims to create a vibrant and inclusive play area that meets the needs of children of all ages and abilities and provide optimal health and happiness. It will feature modern, age-appropriate, inclusive equipment, and more importantly, a safe place for children to run and roam.
Your gift of support will help provide YWCA Quad Cities’ youth with that all important aspect that is essential in their lives - the POWER OF PLAY. For donors providing support of $100+, there will be a special recognition wall prominently displayed in the entrance area with each individual or family name on it, as well as special acknowledgement in the playground area!
