WHO IS YAYSH?

Yaysh is a volunteer-led Jewish education, engagement, and leadership incubator that enables cohorts of mothers to participate in Momentum's Year-Long Journey for moms. We build circles of women who learn together, laugh together, and support each other through a Year of Growth. These circles foster the Jewish value of unity, without uniformity.

We intentionally build partnerships within the greater Hartford community — connecting to synagogues, community groups, and Jewish institutions. The women from our circles become inspired to share their time and energy with these partners, each in her own way. Investing in Moms helps them become the cornerstone of our future as a Jewish community.

HOW DOES YAYSH “Bring Jewish Alive?”

We partner with Momentum Unlimited to bring women to Israel! These 8-day trips are transformative for women, and they kick off a Year-Long Journey that brings our circles of women closer together.
We connect our circles to women to the broader circle of the greater Hartford community! As the Year of Growth progresses, we connect our trip alumnae to previous trip cohorts, and other groups within the local Jewish community.
We provide engaging opportunities to “Do Jewish” with other women! Our monthly events meet women where they are at and promote unity, without uniformity. Women of all levels of observance are welcomed and encouraged to attend!
