At Bizworld, we believe in the power of education and entrepreneurship to transform lives. Our YES! (Young Entrepreneurs Success) Program is designed to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in young minds and, more importantly, develop critical life skills like self-confidence, collaboration, and creative problem-solving.

What is the YES! Program?

The YES! Program is a 12-week intensive online accelerator designed for youth-owned companies aiming to launch or scale their businesses. Each year, BizWorld hosts two YES! Program cohorts, selecting a group of young entrepreneurs aged 16 to 22. During the program, participants develop a comprehensive business plan and prepare to pitch their businesses for funding.

YES! Program participants receive personalized coaching from seasoned business experts and attend weekly in-depth workshops on specific business topics. Each cohort culminates in Pitch Day, where members present their businesses to a panel of judges. Winners from each Pitch Day, along with a wild card winner, advance to Demo Day. At Demo Day, these finalists can pitch their businesses again and compete for up to $30,000 in seed funding.

Increase Seed Funding: At Demo Day 2024, all businesses received funding for the first time ever. BizWorld stretched $30,000 to fund all five companies. We could increase our initial seed funding support to these companies with your support.
Resources and Materials: Providing students with essential learning materials and resources.
Mentorship Opportunities: Connecting students with experienced business leaders for guidance and support.

Success Stories

Here are just a few examples of how the YES! Program has changed lives:

Bella Lin’s company, GuineaLoft, is growing rapidly! As of April 2024, GuineaLoft is projected to hit last year's revenue total halfway through this year, with over $300,000 in sales. Bella used her $10,000 seed funding to purchase a laser cutter, allowing a quicker turnaround time for manufacturing and prototyping projects. She is expanding her already successful business to include other small pet accessories and enclosures.
Joe Knopp, a 2022 alumni, used his YES! program seed funding to purchase in-house equipment allowing him to reduce his overhead by over 60%, scale his business, and have a successful acquisition in the summer of 2023.
Ankhway, an International 2023 cohort business, received $10,000 in seed funding, allowing it to purchase additional stock in time for end-of-year sales. The investment to increase its inventory capacity has allowed it to sell at higher volumes, resulting in average monthly gross sales of around $50,000.
MabLab was the highest-funded business at 2024 Demo Day. Their revolutionary 5-in-1 rapid test screens for the five deadliest lacing agents in recreational drugs. It is designed to save lives through its accessibility and unparalleled accuracy in screening for lethal substances in under three minutes. BizWorld awarded MabLab $15,000, which they will apply to patent editing and extension.
