The Lost River Trails Coalition is an organization focused on the development of a sustainable mountain bike trail network in and around Lost River State Park in Hardy County West Virginia.

This was a banner year for the Lost River Trails Coalition! We received a Trail Accelerator Grant from the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) in which IMBA designed and flagged three miles of beginner and intermediate trails in Lost River State Park, as well as developed a long-term trail concept plan for the park. We also hosted the Lost River Trail Run in the park in early May and the second annual Lost River Classic gravel bike race doubled in size and revenue from its inaugural year. A portion of this revenue helped to subsidize Hardy County’s brand new youth mountain bike team, the Cryptids, which featured 11 middle and high school boys and girls. This is a tremendous success for a first year team! We have ambitious goals for 2024, and we wouldn’t be able to accomplish them without individual supporters and local business sponsors.
