The PCAS Youth Track & Field team is back in action for another year of training and fun! We need your support to fund this amazing program. When you do, you'll make it possible for PCAS to reach more youth and give them the same opportunities that other kids have. And you'll help our athletes get to the Hartford Track and Field Nationals this July in Alabama. Please read on to learn more about our amazing kids and the impact our program has.

Our Challenge

Scholastic sports programs do not provide opportunities for youth with disabilities. This means children and youth with disabilities are excluded from communities and activities that promote healthy living. As a result, kids miss out on critical growth opportunities.

Our Youth Para Track and Field competitors have won numerous national division titles! We hope they will be able to attend the National Championships in Alabama this year. However, going to Alabama is expensive. Nonetheless, the experience is so crucial to a child's development that we are reaching out for your help. PCAS is one of the few places where young people with disabilities can take part in sports.

Redefining Possible

Thanks in part to our program and a fantastic head coach, Darla Clayton, athletes have been able to compete with their school team, and attend the U.S. Paralympics Nationals. But more than 95% of children with disabilities are unable to take part in scholastic sports due to school policy. We need to get all our children involved in both community and school sports because our communities are stronger when we recognize all abilities.

We want opportunities for sports for all children. It does, however, need time, effort, and resources to make change happen. We need to change how communities and schools perceive a child's abilities. We do that by example. By giving our kids the opportunity to show their abilities in our programs.
