Youth own the future. We're shaping it now. This is our organization's motto and we believe it tells you a couple of key things about us.

First and foremost, we are youth. Our staff team is comprised of intensely passionate, extraordinarily capable, and authentically unique young individuals. We attend universities, colleges, and high schools; we come from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences; and we are united by our shared sense of purpose and service.

Second, it tells you why we care about the work we do. Youth aren't just caretakers of the future—we own it more than anyone else currently alive. We are the ones who will live out the future that is being shaped right now. We aren't waiting until we are "old enough" to get stuff done.

Third, it shows you where we are focusing our work. Existential issues that take a generation or longer to solve are right up in our alleyway. Issues that especially affect youth, but aren't getting our input, are where we'll be. You can trust youth—and us—to be thinking long-term.

Just like any other nonprofit, our team is mission-critical. Without them, we wouldn't be able to get it done for youth across the state. But unlike other nonprofits, our team is a living extension of our mission.

Every young person on our team embarks on a journey of empowerment and growth. Along the way, they are equipped with valuable skills, experiences, and lessons. They find a close and supportive community. Many find their voice, their passion, or their spark. All while receiving a wage for the hundreds of hours they spend enhancing our community for all.

This last part is important, too, and shouldn't be understated. Often, our staff are also students trying to pay tuition, rent, and groceries or high schoolers who may be pressured to take on a job. By paying our staff, we make sure we are supporting them as they support our community.

That's why we need you. You make our mission achievement possible twice over! By donating to support our staff, you empower our young team to organize and advocate for youth on the local and state level. We also work directly with emerging young leaders through workshops, trainings, and consulting to forge a brighter future for all.
