Clay County Animal Shelter Spay and Neuter Program

In partnership with the Alabama Spay and Neuter Clinic in Birmingham.  Open to Clay County and surrounding counties!

DATE/TIME:  Pick up is at 5 a.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Must register to participate. 

LOCATION FOR DROP-OFF/PICKUP: Delta Community Center, 57 Delta Church Rd, Delta, Alabama

TWO options to participate:

Option 1: Family Assistance Program: $35 Per Pet (includes $10 Transport Fee):

This program is a low-cost spay/neuter program to help qualified households get their pets fixed for just $25 each for spay or neuter. To qualify, a household member must be enrolled in a government assistance program (e.g., Medicaid, WIC, Disability, EBT) and provide proof. Participants can have up to THREE pets sterilized for $25 per pet.

Option 2: Low Cost Snip-it-Ticket (includes $10 Transport Fee):

• Male Cat Neuter: $63
• Female Cat Spay: $78
• Male Dog Neuter: $80
• Female Dog Spay: $93

PLEASE NOTE

You have NOT secured your spot on transport until you completed all steps below:

• Step 1: Registered through this link and MADE PAYMENT. 
• Step 2: Alabama Spay and Neuter Clinic (ALSN) will be contacting you (area code 205 or email) once you compete Step 1 to CONFIRM.
• Step 3: IF NEEDED: ALSN will ask for proof of rabies vaccine and eligibility for Family Assistance Program.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Rabies shot is required and is an additional $30. If your pet already has the rabies vaccination you can provide proof and avoid the $30 charge.
• Additional pain medication is available for $30 charge.
