Dear Rocky Hill friends and community members,

As a high school student and volunteer EMT, I’ve been growing more aware of the mental health needs in our beloved community. Suburban towns like ours have mental health risks that are only continuing to grow, especially amongst teenagers. As a tight-knit town, have the power to make a significant difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges, particularly in regard to suicide prevention. Today, I am reaching out to you with an earnest plea to join hands in organizing a Talent Show Fundraiser that will not only showcase the incredible talents within our community but also raise vital funds for suicide prevention efforts.

Why Suicide Prevention Matters:

Suicide is a deeply concerning issue that affects countless individuals and their families each year. However, we also know the strength that comes from coming together and supporting one another. This talent show serves as a beacon of hope, reminding us that we can make a difference and save lives by investing in suicide prevention programs and initiatives.

Uniting Our Talents for a Worthy Cause:

Our town is filled with remarkably talented individuals, and it's time to bring our talents to the forefront for a cause that matters. The Talent Show Fundraiser aims to provide a platform for our community members to showcase their skills and passions, whether it’s dancing, playing musical instruments, poetry reading, stand-up comedy, magic, acting, trivia, acrobatics, or any other fun talent.

Supporting Local Suicide Prevention Efforts:

All funds raised from this talent show will go directly towards supporting local suicide prevention efforts. We will work closely with established organizations and professionals who focus on mental health support and suicide prevention in our area. By contributing to this event, you are not just attending an entertaining show and meeting community members; you are actively participating in the efforts to make our community safer and more compassionate.

Sponsors and Donors: If you or your organization would like to contribute to this noble cause, we welcome sponsorships and donations. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will be used diligently to support suicide prevention efforts within our community. All organizations will be given special digital and physical suicide prevention partner badges. For sponsorship opportunities, please indicate interest in the donation message.
