Giving Hope Cancer Kits

Giving Hope Cancer Kits was founded in 2021 by Christina O'Connor.  Being a cancer patient herself, Chris wanted to supply kits to other local cancer patients with items that would hlep make their treatment journey a bit more comfortable.

In March of 2024, Giving Hope Cancer Kits merged with CalCo Giveback Pack, a 501(c)(3) non profit located in Angels Camp.  CalCo was founded in 2021 by Autumn Poortinga & Michelle Perkins.  Chris founded Giving Hope in memory of Autumn's mom, Leanne Aschwanden, so when the time came that Chris was no longer able to her organization, Autumn and Michelle had no problem stepping in.  CalCo's goal is to keep Giving Hope running the same way Chris dreamed.

The community lost an amazing woman the day Chris passed away.  Giving Hope relied on community donations to keep the kits going.  We hope that you can help us continue her dream and keep her alive in our recipients hearts.
