Fun Facts! The Cape May County Park & Zoo is currently home to 250 species and 550 animals, including our newest residents: red kangaroos, emus, Toco Toucans, a two-toed sloth, and soon a spectacled bear! And that’s not all. Since our opening in 1978 we have grown to become one of the nation’s top-ranked zoos, with a continued accreditation to both AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) and ZAA (Zoological Association of America) and a dedication to education, conservation, and care of our animals.

The Cape May County Zoological Society is the nonprofit community partner of the county government in the continuing improvement of the Park & Zoo. We are dedicated to our efforts in providing the necessary resources to grow and inspire the minds of our visitors to protect, care for, and nurture our environment, and the wildlife that inhabits it. Our conservation and education efforts are consistently in the forefront of our fundraising efforts, providing a safe home and important resources to vulnerable or endangered species.

As the season of giving approaches, please consider supporting the Zoo Society’s  Annual Appeal. Your support will directly support:

* The care of our current animals with expanded habitats, veterinary care, and enrichment activities.

* The education of our many visitors, with a focus on the importance of wildlife conservation.

* The ability to grow and expand the Cape May County Park & Zoo so we can continue our mission to protect, care for, and advocate for these vulnerable species.

Join us in planning for the promising future of the Cape May County Park & Zoo. Join us in teaching others to appreciate and respect the world around us. By teaching about our environment, and all wildlife that inhabits it, we can create a strong foundation to better preserve the natural world.

Thank you, in advance, for your generous support. We are truly grateful.
