Angie Lesan is Puttin' on the Glitz for the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts! Please help Angie raise $2,000 to participate in the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts first annual gala; Puttin' on the Glitz!

On November 23rd you will find Angie brushing off her musical chops and dance shoes to help Norwalk Conservatory raise money for scholarships and arts education.

In her own words...

My name is Angie Lesan and I am proud to support my daughters school, The Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts. I was born and raised on sweet tea and boiled peanuts in the great state of North Carolina where I continue to live with my family today.

I graduated from Campbell University with a degree in Public Relations/Communications in 1989 and took a job as a flight attendant with Piedmont Airlines/USAir/American. After 13 years of traveling throughout the US, I made the decision to retire, stay home, and start a family.

I began playing the piano in first grade and continued through my years, playing for a college vocal group, weddings, funerals and several church congregations. It is my solace, my quiet place, my place of worship. I have especially enjoyed accompanying my children sing duets in church. What a joy and honor to be a part of watching them shine for Jesus!

Sydney introduced us to the dance world at the age of 4. I was her driver, costume creator, makeup artist, bun-maker, and biggest fan for the next 13 years. She moved from recreational dance classes to competition dance teams. My favorite part was watching her perform in her musical theater selections. She lit up the stage and all eyes - especially mine! - seemed to be on her. Through dance, she learned the values of commitment, resilience, relationships, friendship, and time-management.

We were introduced to NoCo through Sydney’s first college audition weekend. She pretty much knew from the time she set foot in Norwalk that this was going to be her new home. And what an incredible journey it has been! She has been able to make a name for herself, grow expeditiously in music and acting, continue to improve her dance skills and most importantly, she has gained the confidence to succeed in this industry. NoCo made all of this possible - and I am so grateful!
