Canstruction® is a unique nonprofit organization that holds annual design-build competitions to construct colossal structures made from canned food. After Build Day, the creations are on display to the public as a giant art exhibition. Once viewing concludes, all food cans are donated to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank. Canstruction® went on a brief hiatus, but it's back and Wilson Butler Architects couldn't be more excited to particpate!

The Merrimack Valley Food Bank has been feeding local families since 1991. The organization distributes food to more than 50,000 individuals a month in MA and Southern NH. It is estimated that food insecurity more than doubled in America due to the economic crisis brought on by the pandemic, affecting as many as 23% of households. The Food Bank needs our help to get food to those families in need.

Wilson Butler Architects wants to continue supporting the Merrimack Valley Food Bank. We will be participating in Canstruction again for the 6th year. With your help, WBA raised $3,500 in 2021. Our 2023 goal is to raise another $3,500 for the Food Bank. We hope that you will help us with our effort! Did you know that $30 donated provides 90 meals, $50 donated provides 150 meals, and $100 donated provides 300 meals? 100% of the money raised will go directly to the Food Bank.

Last year, the WBA team won multiple awards: Best Use of Labels, Most Cans, People's Choice and Social Media Souper Star. We are so excited to build another great structure and donate physical cans to the Food Bank this year.
