This Giving Tuesday, November 29th, we are collecting donations to send accessories to our programs in Zambia and Cambodia. When hospitals and clinics do not have the funds to order new nasal cannulas, tubing and masks, they attempt to wash and then reuse items which are not meant to be reused.
As we toured the Lvea Em Referral Hospital just outside of Phnom Pehn, doctors and nurses told us that they had just one set of tubes, a nasal cannula and a mask which they wash and use again for babies who are struggling to breathe.
We are asking for you help to send much needed disposable accessories to our programs and decrease exposure to bacteria.
