WHAT IT'S FOR:

We are holding a raffle-style campaign and raising money for a medical brigade that will be benefiting an Indigenous Wayuu community in the rural community of Jonjoncito, La Guajira in Colombia.

Every six days a child passed away in La Guajira in 2022 from diseases related to malnutrition and access to clean water. This has been an issue for years and continues to devastate communities located in these rural areas where medical care is difficult to access in 2023. This is why it's important to bring medical help to the families living in rural communities to treat and prevent cases of malnutrition.

Wayuuandoco, a Wayuu led organizations that works primarily with Indigenous youth in rural areas, is seeking to bring a medican brigade with medical professionals to the town of Jonjoncito. This medical day will be benefiting children and older adults!

DONATIONS WILL BE USED FOR:

Medicine for various ailments

Non-perishable food items

Transportation to-and-from Jonjoncito, La Guajira
