Every parent deserves the chance to come home — fully.

Assets Ascending of Georgia is a peer-led reentry nonprofit serving families in DeKalb and Paulding Counties, Georgia. We were founded by someone who lived through incarceration and reentry, and everything we do is built on that lived knowledge.

We believe formerly incarcerated people are assets, not liabilities — and that the people closest to a problem are closest to the solution.

Your gift supports five programs:

🏠 Matrescence Ascending: R&R — A maternity home for formerly incarcerated women who are pregnant or parenting, opening in Paulding County. A safe place to land, heal, and prepare for what's next.

🌱 Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants — A community gardening program teaching food growing, food preservation, and farm-based entrepreneurship. Free for anyone impacted by the legal system.

📋 Parole Advocacy & Case Preparation — Peer specialists helping incarcerated individuals build strong parole packets and navigate reentry — before and after release.

🚗 Maintenance4Moms / Maintenance4Dads — A working car means getting to work, getting to court, and getting to your kids. This program funds vehicle repairs and maintenance for parents in reentry so they can keep moving forward. Keep our community safe.

🎙️ Restorative Storytelling Podcast — Centering the full personhood of incarcerated and formerly incarcerated parents, in their own words. (Coming soon!)

Where parents heal, families are whole, and communities are restored.
